Windows ME Volume Slider Problems?

Has anybody ever encountered a problem with their volume slider? I haven't been able to set the volume, the slider keeps falling til it's silent. Is it Windows ME?

I think that it has something to do with a wrong driver for the sound card.

You're may be right. Have you looked for updated drivers?
