WINDOWS ME RUNNING DOS PROGRAMS

I NEED TO HAVE A FILES=200 LINE IN CONFIG.SYS SO THAT A DOS PROGRAM WILL RUN. IF I CREATE THE FILE IT GETS RENAMED EACH TIME I BOOT THE PC. ID THERE ANOTHER WAY AROUNG THIS?

CAN ANYONE HELP OR GUIDE ME TO A SITE WHERE I MAY FIND THE ANSWER.

um, WinME has no DOS anymore, the dos screen you see is a simple Dos emulation, WinMe has striped real mode dos, if you really need dos programs to run properly go back to Win98
