Windows ME "Safe Mode"

I have installed Cisco VPN 3.6.3 on my home PC (running Windows ME) and when I boot up I have to choose Safe Mode to boot into Windows. I uninstall VPN and the PC boots fine. Is this a known issue? My company's Helpdesk has no clue. Thanks....

I am experiencing this same problem - I have not found a solution yet. So far your post here is the only mention I have found. If I do find a solution, I will post it here.
