Windows ME does not include a backup utility !!!
Does any body have a sugestion of how to get around it ?

Veritas Backup Exec V4.2.1 or Pro V4.5 eval/30 day trial versions are worth a try. It also has a recovery option to many devices (tape,CDRW, optical and etc). Even if you opt not to buy the Software, the PNP drivers are still installed for a large number of backup devices. For a desktop backup I prefer it over NovaBack and others. Veritas was part of Seagate and still provides OEM packages to HP and others.
No,I don't sell these products, but I did do evaluations on DAT4mm/8mm, QIC-80 thru QIC-3020 and CD-RW type products. No, I'm not promoting anything just explaining my process for backup options.

Me does have backup it's hidden on the CD, look in the 'add-ons' folder and run msbexp.exe to install it.
