Windows Me and Macromedia

I get an error that says that fireworks caused a default in reader.dll whenever I try to import freehand drawings. Any ideas? It bluescreens every time. I have tried to reinstall the software several times but it does not work. I have Windows Me (upgrade).

version conflicts perhaps....?
try going to macromedia and dl'n all the updates for your progs....
and.. if you try to import freehand 10.... say... into an older version of FW it may not even recognize the data...

so... update may not be enough.. and might need a full upgrade...
