Windows Installer

Every time I try to open a program or even modules within my VB6 projects I keep getting the windows installer screen. I am also not able to install or reinstall any programs because the installer doesn't work. I have tried MS Kb Q265194 but none of these solutions seem to work. Any ideas on how to correct this.

Have you tried downloading the latest installer? You can get it at

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?releaseid=32832&NewList=1
