windows installer won't start

hi guys i am having a problem starting the windows installer service i get

Error: 0002: The system cannot find the file specified.

i have re-installed the installer but no joy any ideas ?

The service may be looking for a file in the wrong place. check HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSIServer\ImagePath and see where it points. Search on MSIEXEC.EXE to see where it really is. Chances are the two don't match.
