I have a problem which i beleive is a virus, everytime i try to open an application a windows installer window pops up and says "the feature you are trying to use is on a DISk or CD-ROM that is not available

"Insert the microsoft office XP with frontpage CD-ROM and click ok"

virus detection does not pick it up has anyone come across this before if so what is the name of the virus so I can remove it?

this window pops up everytime i try to open an application.

i had this problem once .
Turned out to be a registry cleaner i used that was to agressive in deleting reg entrys.
Solved it with system restore .

yep...registry cleaners sometimes cleans your system more than necessary.

That wasn't a virus. It was a problem with your software (either something was modified with the settings that it requires the files to be re-installed from the CD.
