I am trying to install this application that comes in a .msi format. What I am trying to do is create a DOS or vbscript install that will silently install it on user's PCs without giving them any options. This can be accomplished using the /q command. My problem is that by using the /q command, it installs the application with all the default settings. Does anybody know of a way where I can run the install, select the options I want and then repackage the installation file with those options I selected? Thanks.

i guess you can do a registry trace during configuring of the programs settings.
Then make a reg file you can run after install .

Hey, thanks for the help. I actually found 2 programs that helped me figure out this problem. The first was Orca, made by Microsoft. It did what I wanted it to do, which was repackage the msi file, although it was too difficult to understand, so I did not really trust my edits. I found this other problem called WinInstall LE, which did exactly what I needed and the best thing is it is free.
