Windows installer service error number 0x80040706

I having problems trying to install Patchlink Client.

When I try to install the MSI file, I get an error message saying:

Windows error number 08x8004076 object reference not set.

I have reinstalled the windows installer service as well as re-installing SP4, but still no luck.

Has anybody else had this before...

PLEASE HELP>....
