Hi,
We have a machine with Windows 2000 Professional and Office 2000.
We have different users so we had to create different users. Now, when a new user tried to open Powerpoint (or any Office program), windows installer comes up and we have to install data1.msc. It will come up as preparing to install and would ask us for the path of the 'data2.msi'... the problem is, there is no browse button so we cannot change the path to the folder and it looks like it is stuck to \\another_computer_on_the_network\cd_drive\ (\\C01\d\)
It seems like the last person who used the computer did some setting and it's not letting us change it. If we cancel out of the installer, the program still runs perfectly, though. We just want to get rid of that windows installer that opens up.
--This new user belongs to the PowerUsers group...
--Logging on as admin does not help because the admin profile was able to change the path to the cd.
Please advise.
Thank you.
