I have an ACCESS XP form with a MAPI Active X Control. Running on P3, XP Professional. When the form is opened, the Windows Installer activates and attempts to install Visual Foxpro 7.0. I believe this is because Windows thinks Foxpro is required to instantiate the object. Visual Foxpro 7 is installed on this computer and is my primary development environment. If I continue to hit Cancel on the Windows Installer, the form evenually opens. Tried on another computer with essentially the same configuration and had no problem. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds to me like VFP has been associated with ocx files?

Have you tried finding one and doing the Shift-right click on it to find out what it's associated with? What does the icon on ocx files look like? Anne Troy
