Every time I open Internet Explorer (7) on my Vista machine, it comes up with a box asking me to click allow or don’t allow. The details of the error are “windows host process rundll32” the file it points to in the details section is: “C:\Windows\System32\atgban.dll” DllStart”

I click allow and it opens my home page. I have searched the net and tried to apply some fixes as follows:

1. Ran anti-spyware and anti-virus picked up nothing
2. Ran chkdsk took ages going through it but didn’t resolve
3. Disabled add ons no luck
4. Renamed atgban.dll file but comes up with error saying file not found

My opinion is that this is an issue with IE opening in the wrong way and trying to open via a different route perhaps.

Can anybody help? This is very frustrating.

Many thanks I advance

Ray

Have you reset IE7 tools/internet options/advanced/reset (bottom right)

[google]atgban[/google]- I think that you need to try some other antivirus/anti-spyware tools. Check the FAQ's of forum760

It seems rsetting IE7 has done the trick!
Many thanks for all your help.
