My system seems to have a bounus feature on it. Once a day it reboots and one logged in, up pops up the message above. And every other time, the screen resolution goes wonky.

Hp has a fabulous solution for this. Perhaps, one of their five year old child came up woth it. "Turn of your system after each use" to prevent getting the message.

The error log says the failure was due to BSOD - "Blue Screen"

Roll back your Video driver to the previous version (via Display Adapters in the Device Manager), or check the manufacturer's site for updated drivers. You could even try uninstalling your current driver, via Display Adapters in the Device Manager, rebooting and allowing Windows to re-install your current driver.

To get further information about the error look in your Event viewer.

Look in the Custom Views/ Administrator section, and System or Application folder in Windows logs. You can get to the Event Viewer via right click My Computer icon and select Manage.

Any errors logged in the Event Viewer can be expanded by double clicking on the error line.

Take any event error I.D. number and search for it on this site.

You can also turn off "automatically restart after an error" so it will just halt at the fault and display the full Stop Error and blue screen.

Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties .
On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery .
Click to clear the Automatically restart check box under System failure , and then click OK . The error message on a blue screen should remain on the screen so you can record the error information.

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking.

Run the System File Checker program from the Elevated Command Prompt by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it.
