Hello,

I'm using CSS 11500 and when i connect the serial cable to the port the Windows freezes. After I disconect the cable everything become normal again.

I don't even use hyperterminal.
When I reboot the PC, the loading freezes until I remove the cable.

The cable is good, because I use it with other cisco switches.

Any idea?

Thks to all help

Do you happen to have another computer to test with? If it happens on the other PC then it is probably your switch. hmm...

Which version of Windows? I found that Vista will try to boot from any other than your hard drive first. When I had USB flash drives plugged in, the computer would always try to boot from USB drive. Don't know why it's specific to Vista, though.

Oh, that's a Dell Inspiron, by the way.
