windows explorer

I have a user who is on XP and has set up a shortcut on the desktop to windows explorer but now he wants to change it so that windows explorer opens up showing a particular network drive in a particular view, instead of opening up on my documents on his C:\.

can this be done? if so how?.

Right click on the WE icon and choose Properties. This string is what determines your target:

C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE /e, C:\My Documents\

Simply change the drive designation to set the default folder.
