Hi
New here and looking for an answer to something that is probably very simple. When you type into whatever serch engine you are using ...it saves what you were looking for...so say the next time you look for something that begins with an "A"...all the past "A" searches that I have done drop down...could someone tell me what these are called and how to delete all past searches.
Hope that made sense?
Thanks

Tools >internet Options>Content>Auto Complete Button

Have a look at the page which comes up. Clear Forms button to clean them out.

Uncheck the boxes to stop the function.

Unclear as to what "Clear Forms Button" is...could you direct me to it?
Thanks

PS...Made the mistake in the Topic line of calling it Windows Explorer...that is suppose to be Interent Explorer.

In google you can hold your mouse over one of the drop down items (do not click on it) and hit delete. if you keep hitting delete it will erase all of the previous word searches. I think this can be done in other search forms as well.

Please note: This is referring only to the drop down list on a web page form not the address bar in IE. Ya' Gotta Love It!

BTW... obviously Mosaic1's method is better in deleting everything but my method could be used if you actually wanted to be a little selective about what you get rid of and what you keep;-) Ya' Gotta Love It!
