WIndows Explorer Settings 1

WHen I start Windows Explorere the default view is Large Icons. I want to make Details or List as my default. I can't seem to change it so that will work on the current window and all future windows. Is there some place that I can change the settings for Explorer? Tools - Options lets me change how I view the list etc but I see no spot to change it to Details and reset all folders.
