Hi all,
I am changing the View options in Explorer to show 'Details' , but when I close the window, they are lost and I need to do the same again next time in. I've tried clicking the 'x' to close and File--> Close, but neither seem to work. Any hints
Marc

Under the view tab of folder options is there a 'remember each folder's view settings' option? (I'm on 2k at moment, where this option does exist - can't check/remember if 98 has it too).

I am running winNT and my settings are permanent when I 'X' out, and go back in. what system do you have?

I'm actually running under NT4, and it's got even stranger. I've tried all the options here, apart from CTRL X, and it works for me, but not for another user who was experiencing the self same problem. I'll try the CTRL X tomorrow when back in work.
Thanks for all the suggestions tho.
Marc
