has anyone an explanation for this? I'm using IE6 with win2k. I've found that my favorites folder under "documents and settings" in windows explorer does not exactly match the favorites I see when I click favorites in ie6. It's close but there are actually more subfolders that I have created and can access in ie6 than I can see on the file manager program. Does this make sense? I discovered this when I imported my favorites into Opera and found several subfolders missing.

You may need to set Windows Explorer to "View All
Files" since favorites is often set with a system attribute. (In Explorer,
View | Folder Options | View | under Files and Folders | Hidden files
section- check "show all files" | click 'Apply').

To add to kipp13's suggestion above, look in the All Users, and the Default User, profiles to see the entries that you may be missing. If you are OWNER/CREATOR/Administrator of the local machine, look in the Administrator profile as well.

Yes, bcastners solution looks the most likely as the favourites are user specific.

thanks for your replies, guys.
bcastner, none of the favorites in the other accts settings ammount to anything. "all users" favorites are blank, admin's are just a few generic links I think came with the install.
kippy13, I finally found the "folder options" under the tools menu rather than view. I checked show hidden files and folders, no change.

Is this weird or what?
