Windows Explorer , Delete, Context Menue

Windows Explorer is Freezing, only way out is with ctrl+alt+del. It is no longer allowing any changes to any files. I can no longer delete, edit, right mouse click = on the desktop screen and in windows explorer. Im Running windows xp pro. the only ad on in the past month is a Router,, Linksys befsx41. Befor this purchase Explorer was showing beggining systems, and i figured microsoft update will assist. please Advise,,,,, Canea

Are you on a network? Do you have virus protection? Have you tried any spyware?

Get this out of the way, eliminate scumware as a possibility. If no change, post back...

Could be a problem with a floppy drive or a cd drive
