Windows Control Center to Linux MySQL Database

Guys:

I am trying to use Windows Control Center 0.8.10-beta to connect to a Linux Database Server. But I am getting "ERROR 2013: Lost connection to MySQL server during query"

Any idea what can be wrong.

BTW I was able to connect from a Linux Control Center 0.8.10-beta to a Windows Database Server without a problem.

On what version of Linux is MySQL running.

There have been some problems with connecting to MySQL non-locally when it is running on RedHat 8.0.

Yes I am running RedHat 8.0.

What can I do about this problem?
