Windows Component for .tgz files

I've got the need for a Windows component that will take a .tgz file and remove some files and a directory. I'd like to do this without uncompressing and recompressing because that would ruin the formatting and this file needs to be used (later on) on a linux box.

Any ideas as to how I can accomplish this?
