Windows Backup

I created a windows xp backup file,but i am using windows 7 now.
is it possible to restore xp bak in using windows 7?

The built-in backup tools in Vista & Win7 do not read the backups created by XP's ntbackup utility. You will need a third party tool tool to read the files.
