I'm running Win7 Professional and have been using Windows Backup weekly. My hard drive is partitioned for a logical drive (F where I store all my data. The C: drive is used only for system files/work.
At one time I had a folder on the logical drive which I no longer needed so I deleted it. When backup up executed it completed with an error code stating not all files were found. When I checked the details it indicated the folder I had previously deleted was missing. When I checked the list of folders in the backup program the missing folder was not listed, obviously.
So I recreated that folder, called up the backup program and unchecked that folder I no longer needed from the backup list and ran the backup. The backup completed without error.
I decided since I had already unchecked that folder from the backup list, it was time to remove/erase that folder. Unfortunately when backup executed the next time it ended with an error code indicating the folder in question was again missing.
Has anyone experienced this situation? And does anyone have a solution that doesn't include keeping unwanted folders on one's drive?
Thanks,
Vic
