Windows Authentication 1

We have SharePoint 2003 installed on a windows 2003 server. IIS is set up for windows integrated authentication.
When you browse to

http://servername,

windows authentication works fine and the user is not prompted for a user name or password.
I set up a DNS entry for share.domain.com. When you browse to

http://share.domain.com,

the user is prompted for a user name and password. Enter the name and password and everything works fine.
Can anyone tell me where in SharePoint I can add this domain name so that it will authenticate?

I think they have to trust the domain name in internet explorer. You may be able to push down a gpo that has the domain name in the trusted names list.
