windows app with dcom objects porting to linux

Hi all,

I'm involved in a project that pretends to port a windows app, developed with MS visual studio 2005, that uses MS DCOM objects, to a linux app.

I'm new to MS development and to DCOM objects too, and I'm looking for the way to work with DCOM objects or something similar in Linux. ¿Is there any equivalent?
