Good day,

I was wondering if anybody could please be of assistance. I want to change file permissions using a script. For some reason the permission on our homes share has changed and (the everyone group has been given Full Control to all the folders) I want to be able to change it back. Not wanting to do one at a time my question is:

Would it be possible to change the permissions using the %username% variable? The folder and user names are the same, so I want the script to query the folder name and assign modify rights to the user?

Is all this possible and if so could someone please point me in the right direction as to where to start looking.

Thank you

Look at SetACL

Hope this helps...

If you realy want to use VBSCRIPT you can do it with ADsSecurity.DLL

Check This out...

I learned a lot about ACL's from this script...
It takes a while trying to comprehend it, but it is absolutely worth.
