I have win98se running on a PII 400. However the system does not perform auto power off on shutdown. This means i have to switch it off manually as applies for an AT power supply. Why is my ATX ps acting this way? Any solutions?
Thanks.

Did you check your CMOS? Make sure at least APM is enabled? That probably won't solve much, but at least I tried. -- Good Luck

Secrete of life: If Husband = Happy then Wife = Unhappy. Overlord,

The old 98 shutdown problem, we have it on many of our sites, the only fix I have founf that works is

Create a desktop shorcut to c:\windows\Rundll.exe, with the options user.exe, exitwindows

So the Icon command line reads

C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL.EXE user.exe,exitwindows

and start in is

c:\windows

And click on this to shut down rather than start / shutdown

Paul Ovey
paul.ovey@avenue-legal.co.uk
