can you rebuild your registry files off the windows cd then import reg files for your software? if so how or where to get the info.

Lets take a step back here, what are you trying to achieve, or what is the problem you are trying to solve?

I'm trying to rebuild the registry without reinstalling all the updates/software. I've used registry cleaner but my reg is large so if I could rebuild the reg off the windows cd then import the *.reg file for the software it might save me alot of hour of rebuilding the system.

I would suggest you run, from your Win98 CD, \tools\sysrec\pcrestor.bat, but preferably run it from DOS.
