Let me tell you first what I have installed before I get to my question. Windows 98 SE is my platform, I have a 10 Meg 3COM hub and have 2 systems linked togather via NETBEUI DHCP protocol. I would like to share my internet with my other system from my directpc internet computer. I have tried to use wingate to link the 2 systems and share internet that way but with no success. Both systems talk and can share files but not internet access. I am not well versed in TCP/IP but I have tried using tcp/ip and it messes with my settings for directpc. DirectPC uses tcp/ip and has the DNS setup already. But when I add TCP/IP for the network card I get conflicts with the DNS of directpc. Is there another way about this or can someone show me what to do?
Thanks

u need to setup a separate RFC 1918 IP addressing system on your other computers.. such as 192.168.0.0/24 .. such a network will be used on your private LAN.. Wingate or your other proxies will route your connections between your LAN and the net... u might need to read some more on your proxy program.. the other alternative is to use Linux..u will have less problems in the long run.. such as support for multiple protocols and transparency...

good luck..
