I am running windows 98 on a 800mhz with 256 ram. The 20GB harddisk is partitioned into 2 with Partition Magic.

C: drive works fine but when I try to delete files in D:, windows explorer freezes.

Alt-Ctrl-Del works fine and I able to close Windows Explorer from there.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks in advance

I can't really help you out, but I can say that has happened to me - where Explorer will consistantly lock up after deleting a large amount of files at once. I've had some other problems with the computer and I've reinstalled Windows since then. I haven't seen it occur anymore.
