I am trying to re-install Windows 98 with a CD but it will
not reconize the CDROM drive any way to correct this?

Did you set the boot order in the bios to boot from cd first?

or you can use a win98 boot disk and boot with cd rom support.

If your win98 system is still operational you can go to
start, settings, control panel, add/remove programs, startup disk tab and make a startup disk.

Otherwise you can go to and download one.
