I am attempting to upgrade a Windows 98 System to XP Pro. Part of the upgrade is a PWS Website running VBScript Code within an ASP. I am having trouble getting anything to run. Internal Server 500 Errors. Any ideas?

How did you migrate the site over. All you should have to do, is copy the code to the new box. Then point IIS's home directory for the site over to that folder. Set the default documents so that you can jsut access it by the site name, and set your permissions (allow script executon, etc..) and it should all run fine.
The money's gone, the brain is shot.....but the liquor we still got.

90% of the migration was performed by the XP Upgrade process. I.e. I didn't change any code. I did go into IIS after the upgrade to make sure home-directories, etc were OK. I'm using 'localhost' as the server name, any issues with that?

See the last entry in this tread:
thread855-240287 won't give you the answer but I had the same problem.

If you run into an error in your asp it wil allways give you the 500.

The error could relate to a missing .mdb (if you use access databases) user rights or odbc connection.

You can try the advice on this site:
