A friend of mine thinks he accidentally deleted the master boot record because his computer want boot. He gets an error saying to insert disk and press any key. Does anyone know how to reinstall the MBR without losing the data on the hard drive.

with boot disk up and running: fdisk /mbr
reinstalls the master boot record without messing with anything else. Ed Fair
