My sister is having trouble with having two identical screens splitting on her desktop. Each side is an identical window compressed to half of a screen. She can read it well enough to remove her video and display and restart and that didn't help. Has anyone seen this problem before??? Thank you .

Does your sister have an older monitor? If so, it might not be able to support higher resolutions, thus causing the "split screen" thingie. Might also be caused by too many colors. Set the screen parameters to their lowest setting (16 colors at 640x400) then start working up from there and see when the split screen happens. At that point, you
will know what the max resolution on your monitor is.
If she has a more up to date monitor, it might be caused by improper video drivers or corrupted drivers or it could possibly be bad RAM on her video card. My bet is on the monitor however. Let us know how it goes.
