I've had a hunt around the internet and it appears from various forums that there is a common problem of Windows 98 (SE) with MSVPN adapter installed that the client will connect through routers etc. but after a short time or if high traffic occurs the connection is dropped. We have a Cobalt Qube 3 with VPN support, and it appears to work fine with Win2KPro clients, but this issue of dropped connections rears it's ugly head with win 98. Since it happens on other routers/servers I assume this is a fault with the MS implementation of VPN, and yet MS clains the DUN1.4 which is installed has better VPN stability. Is it worth going down the third party client software route, or does someone out there know a way around this problem?
