Windows 98 Can't See My CD Rom Drives

After having to reload my operating system, my Windows 98 doesn't see either my CD ROM Drive ("D" Drive) or my CD-ROM RW Drive ("E" Drive).
 
more information please (eg, system, why you reloaded).
 
First thing I would do is check in the Device Manager to see if it lists either of your drives under the CDROM listing. If you do not see a CDROM listing then check under Hard Disk Controllers and make sure it is recognizing them properly. If it is, I would try to replace the IDE cables on your CD-ROM Drives. If the still doesn't help, try to change the drive configuration <i.e Master, Slave>
