windows 98 can'nt detect pc card

I bought this v.90 56kps fax modem (kingmax) inserted the it into the slot but windows fails to detect modem. I installed drivers that came with the modem without success. What caould be the problem?

Thanks for your reponse, The only driver i know of is modem driver which normally come with the modem or can be downloaded from

http://www.kingmax.com.

I have installed the drivers without success. Which additional driver? what is "PCMCIA driver for the port" ? Thanks, Dut
