Windows 95 to Windows XP

Hey Y'all,
I hope you can help me. I have an old PC, its a Win 95 machine. I need to transfer data/files from this machine to a new Windows XP Home Edition system. The old machine has no USB ports, or ps2 plugs the best port I have is a serial port, or modem. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to move the data from one machine to the other, or a good way to network them together??? Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated.
