hello

i am using an elonex pc-5200/x running win95 osr2, on startup i get the following error : while initialising device IOS: An I/O subsystem driver failed to load. Either a file in the .\IOSUBSYS sub directory is corrupt, or sys low on memory.

To date i have tried a full 'Ghost' data transfer from an identical machine, the same message occurs. Also tried different RAm, different RAM slot, Slower CPU (p150 from p200 mmx, intel) removed NIC, removed S/card, disabled floppy and cd-rom, disabled external cache, secondary controler and floppy controller.

any ideas ? going to try dis onboard video now... [sig][/sig]

Sounds like you have a faulty hard drive rfeenie. Do you have a spare to try? [sig][/sig]

looking that way ain't it. just tried it on secondary controller with different IDE cable, still the same. bootlog.txt shows a vxd file failing, searching for it cant find it, don't have it on any other PC either, also failing to load most of the fonts. Scandisk did'nt find any errors, strange. New drive it is i guess...

Cheers
