We just installed a new BDC and promoted it to become the
PDC. The network now has one PDC, BDC and serveral file,
mail and database servers. The PDC has WINS, DNS and TCP
IP printing. There are two nics in the machine. The
first nic's IP Address is 32.77.44.3. The DNS and Wins
use 32.77.44.3. The Second NIC's IP address is 10.0.0.50.
All the TCP IP printers are local shared printers using
LPR Ports on the 10.0.0.0 network. WINS is not configured
on the Second card. All the Clients are on the 32.0.0.0
network. The clients all connect to the Shared printers
on the PDC. 98% of the clients are Windows NT 4
workstations, the rest are Windows 95 and Windows 98.
There are no problems with the Windows NT workstations.
Sometimes they are able to log onto the network. When on
the network, they loose their connections to the network
shares and printers. When printing documents, their
printers require user intervention. I would be very
grateful for any suggestions. Thank you
