I am purchasing ASUS VivoTab Smart tablets (Windows 8) for the technicians to use while on the road
I am developing a version of my app specially for a tablet PC

While using the application, I would like our technicians to be able to take a pictures.
I have no problems with processing the picture once taken, as I can monitor the folder that the camera automatically places the pictures, create a preview in my app and process as required (copy, rename and delete original).

However: I would like to do this without having to back out to the Metro interface.
Can I call the metro camera app without going to the Metro interface? Or does anyone know of a third party application that I could use for this?

I would like to avoid WSH if I can help it. (have not done programming with WSH yet, need to keep it simple if possible)
PS: The camera module is a Sony IMX175

I have tried executing the metro app from outside the metro interface and it did not work. Gave an error "Application can only run in context of an app container"
So I guess a third party app may be the answer
