I've got Windows 7 XP Mode running, but it doesn't seem to "see" my local network.

I can browse the web in the XP mode just fine, so it is "networked", but I have a server on my LAN that I want to access from my XP mode computer.

My XP mode computer has a whole different IP range, it's like 192.168.35.33 vs my other computers have 192.168.1.x IPs.

Anyone here use their XP mode to access files from a LAN server?

Just checked here and it's OK, even though IP Address is in a different range.

Have you checked that the Workgroup is set correctly?

Richard.

Can the Host machine see your Server without problems? If so, make sure the Guest machine is using the correct Network Adapter in Windows Virtual PC Settings/ Networking/ Adapters. It should be the same one that your Host machine uses.
