Windows 7 won't remember passwords 1

i'm always having to retype passwords and sometimes usernames in websites and programs that use to automatically fill in in xp....i have auto filled turned on and liberal security and cookie settings (i think) ...any ideas? thanks

I am assuming you are using IE8, or maybe IE9?

if so, then try FireFox or another browser, to see if the behavior is the same... and post back with the results...
