Hi,
On our network we have a group policy set up to run a vbscript that connects to a SQL database and posts some information about the PC (mac address, hostname, make, model etc.)
The group policy is set at the computer configuration level and runs at start up not at logon.
On our XP machines it runs fine but on the windows 7 machine it does not. We know GPO is working as other scripts are running (although the only difference is they are set at the user config level to run at logon).
If I run the script manually after the PC has logged in it runs fine without any problems so I know the code is OK.
The only articles I have been able to find after searching for "windows 7 start up vbscript" seem to refer to people having problems with logon scripts not start up scripts.
Has anyone had similar problems - I would be very grateful for any help.
Thanks very much
Ed
