windows 7 os does not boot up

I switch on my laptop and after booting from the bios,it get stuck at when the windows 7 boot logo appears.
Please what could be the cause and any solution?

Can you boot to safe mode????

It could be so many things. Can you boot to something like the Ultimate Boot CD and run a memory test and the manufacturer's hard drive test. If these items are "beyond your capacity", call a computer tech.

It could be windows corruption, malware, memory failure, hard drive failure, motherboard.................
