Hello, I have a user who has a new windows 7 pro computer(on a domain) and office 2003.

He has his my documents redirected to a file server where he has modify access to all files and folders on that folder and sub folders.

Inside Excel when he clicks the “my documents” icon, it says access denied. Of course he can open documents by just clicking documents, etc.

However he is rather set in his ways and likes to open excel first, and then the file.
Any ideas?

Thanks in Advance

Windows 7 has Documents, rather than My Documents. Why I have no idea. It is causing some headches as Office 2003 appears to generally have this issue. Have you googled this?

That isn't really the My Documents folder. My Documents doesn't exist in Windows 7, so Win 7 creates a junction (similar to a shortcut) for legacy purposes and isn't supposed to be used any more. C:\Documents and Settings has been replaced by C:\Users
My Documents is now C:\Users\username\Documents

Hope this helps
