Windows 7 Folder Redirection

We have been using folder redirection for users' documents for several years. We have had two instances with Windows 7 where the user will not be able to save anything to their documents going through the DFS path. If they go to a different PC or access their documents using the server name (\\servername\docuements) to bypass DFS, they are able to fully access their docuements. All users are setup the same and the only problem has been for these two users on a windows 7 client. They have used their documents, on these PCs, for several months prior to having this issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please could you tell us the OS the server(s) are running? Do you have a single DC?

From the information you've given, the issue could be related to a client or server update, or the clients don't process Group Policy Objects correctly......

you ideally want to create a new set of policies in an OU for win 7 machines and you should also update the AD schema in 2k3 - you can do this from the Win7 disc (im sure) if not you can download an eval 2k8r2 iso from MS, and run a win2k8 AD Prep tool on your 2k3 server.
