Windows 7 file copy very slow when copying files to Server 2008

A 43kb file copy from windows 7 Professional 64bit to Windows Server 2008 Standard 32bit took 35 seconds. This happens using the command line and through explorer. When I do the same file copy from the following I don't have the problem:

XP Pro SP3 to Server 2008
Server 2008 to XP Pro Sp3
Server 2008 to Windows 7

The problem seems to be from Win 7 to Server 2008 only. This is happening from every Win 7 PC I have so it doens't appear to be hardware as they are all different models.
